Weather Data via OpenWeather API

To display location-based weather information, we use the OpenWeather API. Your approximate location (e.g., GPS or IP-based) is transmitted to OpenWeather's servers to retrieve local weather data. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to provide the requested functionality.​

Route Calculation via Graphhopper API

For route planning, we use the services of the Graphhopper API. Your current position, as well as start and destination points, are transmitted to Graphhopper to calculate the route. Data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to perform route planning within the app.​

Firebase Storage (User Uploads)

To store content you upload (e.g., images, documents), we use the cloud service Firebase Storage by Google Ireland Limited. Your uploads are securely encrypted and stored on European servers. Processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or for contract fulfillment pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.​nextbike.de

Firebase Realtime Database (Usage Data & Live Chat)

To store your app usage data (e.g., favorites, settings) and to conduct live chats, we use the Firebase Realtime Database. Personal data such as device identifiers or chat content may be stored and processed. Error Analysis with Sentry

To monitor and improve the stability and performance of the app, we use the service Sentry by Functional Software, Inc. (USA). In the event of errors or crashes, technical information (e.g., device type, operating system version, timestamp, error code) is transmitted to Sentry's servers.
